You’re correct, but now it is nationwide. This type of slavery was nationalized in 1934 through the federal government under the Bureau of Prisons and enslaved (again, majority blacks) worked in military factories as free labor during WWII and afterwards. The Abolition Amendment is in Congress under Congresswoman Williams and Senator Booker.
