Wow, that is a conclusion that surprises me. In a good way. It’s shocking to think it, and it’s hard for me to agree with it and the premises leading up to it. Not because it couldn’t be plausible or true; the record labels are white owned America multinational corporations; I had forgotten about The Million Man March and I can see now clearly how much it must have threatened the white political centrist and right wing establishment even though it was peaceful. It’s hard for me to agree because as a middle aged white man, I feel like I will be under assault for simply seeing truth in your insight. Even if we are progressive or liberal the issue it to stay silent and not criticize “their” culture as we will sound like bigots or racists. I’ll be thinking of this for a while today. Thanks.
