Woke Legally Defined in Florida by DeSantis

The Actual GOP Working Definition Is Surprisingly Accurate

In case you missed like I almost did, “Woke” has been legally defined by attorneys representing Florida Governor DeSantis in court by order of judge. Ryan Newman, who is a DeSantis lawyer, gave us this definition via a court case:

“Activism. Progressive activism. And a general belief in systemic injustices.”

So wow, that’s it then, I agree with DumSantos. We actually agree on the definition. I can live with that.

What I can’t live with is the practice. Believing or agreeing on a definition deceptively feels like you’re on common ground with some person or group. And after DeadSantas’s attorneys were finally forced to define it, showing my agreement, the practices that separate his side are still as wide as the Grand Canyon.

The case came about when DimSantis fired a duly elected Democrat prosecutor in Florida name Andrew Warren and is now waiting a judicial decision to reinstate this publicly elected political opponent.
