Well, until that impunity part gets overturned by Congress, I would say many more. The law protects them, and to date this “bad apple” cop going to trial and helpfully life in prison only represents one percent of police who atrociously act against the the public and are caught on camera. Derek Shauvin was the exception, not the norm. His was a show trial, a dog and pony show, propped up to me the people, who protested in the millions, feel like Black Lives Do Matter somehow and dissolve the protests. But no meaningful reform took place, None. And you just heard Governor Pritzker say openly in his feigned outrage nothing, he made no promises of statewide reform, in a state where black Americans are constantly shot and treated like dirt by the police. He knows a pledge to reform is worthless and all he can do it whip out the bad apple logic of outrage.
