I’m starting to feel ashamed of Northern Democrats, as I was raised in their environment. Thank God I escaped and moved to the South where I could see the truth instead of just condemning it for a hundred and forty years. That’s some powerful conditioning. It was like growing up with blinders on.

Conditioning to the white Northern narrative is one of the greatest fatal media flaws we have.

I’ve only recently realized I have it, despite having lived in the South in the mid 90s. Thus, a brief introduction to this controlling white media narrative based on a real-life case gives us feel for how they at the major networks and papers and liberal blogs continue to miss the view of the supremacist system. And while I like northern ideals, I don’t like blindness it’s given me in practice. It’s dangerous to miss the truth of others you live with, no matter how warped or different it may be.
