Both Parties So Deep in the Same Destructive Foreign Policy
“Israel today, Israel tomorrow, Israel forever.”
“Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.”
Second quote is infamous and said by George Wallace, the governor from Alabama who ran for president. It’s how I remember him saying it. He was widely supporting apartheid policy in the South, known as Jim Crow, and the vast white resistance that had sprung up since the Brown v. Board 1954 court decision that threatened that status quo.
Apartheid laws had been put back in place after 1870 on a state-by-state basis in the south, depending how much white resistance each white male-controlled state legislature felt in their hearts.
All that white dominant supremacist wanted was to keep it the way that it was. Meaning that their laws segregated blacks by space, education, marriage, work, and free movement. The laws allowed the white police by the brown decision to basically stop any black American on the street for any reason they thought.
By that point it had been 50 years to 60 years were 95% of black Americans were taken off the voter rolls since the Mississippi plan started in 1990 by that time political power had been stripped away and…
