This last-minute-before-the-inauguration ceasefire reminds me of The October Surprise. This Israel-Hamas ceasefire has all the same markings, designed to give Trump all the credit while letting Biden off the hook for doing all the genocide supplying. Democrats get a free pass, and MAGA receives a massive boost as peacekeepers. I smell the same decomposed dead rat.

The Hamas ceasefire background seems eerily similar in timing. Sure, celebrations in Gaza seem more like relief than realization, and I can’t say I blame the Gazan people there for celebrating. Though I don’t think they’ve read the fine print, as they’ve been busy just getting food and water into their tents while ducking sniper drones. Survival has taken all their time. They are allowed at least a respite where they don’t have to worry about Israeli snipers and missiles targeting them.
