This is the evil that plagued the South then and now: unbroken and unashamed pride I having overthrown democracy; complete willingness to admit disenfranchising the black American voters in 1895 by structuring their state constitution where he openly states the intention of using a reading test when they can’t use the word “negro” to disenfranchise; openly admitting to his position of white “supremacy”, using the word himself to describe the viewpoint of white superiority; and admitting that he will never believe in equality ever. In fact, he is openly admitting to the president that he is proudly an insurrectionist, a white supremacist, and an anti-American who does not believe in liberty and justice for all, the basic tenants of equality and natural inalienable rights.

This bUstard is not American at all. And yet some jirkwad red supermajority passed a law in 2000 stating that the statue of this horrific and open traitor to American ideals should be left standing in front of the state capital building in Colombia, South Carolina. Somebody please tell me why any President who believes in America, and human in America can let the statue of this anti-American murdering insurrectionist who help overthrow democracy stand? Will black Americans please stop saying that him, his party (now the MAGA party in that state) are real Americans? Please know that professor Spivey is fighting for America, and most all black Americans writing and reading here are fighting for America, for Democracy while he and his ilk are fighting and murdering and insurrection against it. These horrid whites are not and were never American. You are the true American Professor Spivey. That’s how it has always been in this country. Those who fight for equality are the heroes, whether Fredrick Douglass, Ida Wells, or seekers and commenters and writers here.

DeSantis are the opposite, passing slaw against equality, against democracy, and are anti-American and pro-supremacy. They appropriated the American flag and some even hug it to make you believe they are the true patriots to make black Americans feel like this is not their country, the country they built and fought for. Every war from the first (the revolutionary war with over 5,000 black Americans to the Civiil War (over 180,000) to all the wars black Americans fought for for liberty, spilled blood for, build roads for, and yes voted in every decade. The drown you in false beliefs, pound down the truth you know to be that you have fought for and built this country and that your belief in real equality lies in the heart of your struggle, while there violence fights against America’s basic belief, your basic belief. Here we have a Governor and Senator admitting to insurrection, murder to win, cheating in writing the state constitution to deliberately fight against equality.

This man is scum. Anti-American leaders who don’t deserve a statue, the time of day, or any recognition that doesn’t show his true colors, the ones that run against the red white and blue. He is not a lone, just one of many Jim Crow state “leaders” plaguing our history openly until 1970 with such pure admission. I hate the fact they use the symbols of this country when their beliefs and their actions are clearly against this nations ideas, which black Americans, fighting for equality throughout our history would think the flag and the Declaration don’t belong to them. I hope to see a large parade with a million man march of every black woman and man each holding a large American flag chanting toward the White House, toward Congress, to the capital in Florida and Colombia, “This is our country, We are the real patriots, We have taken it back.” To see such a sight would sent earthquakes into those measly white heads hate on the red side of the aisle.
