They are telling you you are playing the victim to deflect from the truth you speak that they are playing the violent repressor. In doing so, they remove blame and culpability of their own anti-democratic actions, built into segregationist laws. You and Dr. Wiltz are actually pro-democracy advocates, not just “black activists” or historians. They are using their political power under this new administration to repress your voice because you are constantly reminding them of who they are, anti-democracy and anti-equality, barely disguised in their anti-DEI actions of silencing your voices. I’m not sure most black Americans have ever been against democracy since they have always experienced physical and mental violent repression of their voices and know what the hunger for freedom feels like, not in thought but in experience.
