The Unbalanced — real life death of an innocent man: “The latest victim of mob vengeance, Lloyd Warner, was dragged from his cell, beaten into insensibility, hanged and then burned…More than two hours after the negro had been hanged, hundreds of citizens surged about the pyre, shouting, laughing and jesting.”

John Avalon does approach the left extremists in modern times. His judgement is not as severe, and he lays it out as merely “antifa.”

But even the idea of antifa is also misleading and disingenuous. It is still fresh in many peoples’ mind on the left that “antifa” was a real hoax, a right-wing fable, a media witch hunt. So, Mr. John Avalon of CNN skims this surface in his quest for structural balance that we’ve been discussing. (As a recap from Part I, we are reviewing and analyzing the structures used in this media clip of John Avalon on CNN in a clip “Researcher sees “dangerous” and significant shift in right-wing militia group.”) This mention of “them” helps to create “instant” balance for his argument of extremism on “both sides” and to link this left violent group to the 1960s and 70s agitators. He is giving gravity to their violence, adding a sense of continuity and organization. Which it doesn’t have at all.

However, antifa is short for anti-fascism, and even though not a true movement, they are against the Fascism of Trump. They opposed a leader with totalitarian instincts to force the state under the whims of his rule is the correct…
