The UN technically calls this description Genocide in under article II and it can take place “in the context of a peaceful situation.” The U.S. thus classified the Uyghur situation an falling into the category of genocide although mass killing it’s the happening as we know of. What is happening is what is reflected in you description: forced elimination of a culture, religion, and language, forced labor and forced human trafficking. These items are crimes that satisfy the two Chief parts the UN and the United States agreed to, the “mental element” and the “physical element.” So under that definition, is it distributing that children are play acting at a chief genocidal practice? I would say yes.

But I don’t want to offend any black Americans with use of this term genocide to equate with slavery, sharecropping/slavecropping, and look for your opinion. (But please don’t spare my white feelings if you do want to call it such or if I’ve offended you as I want to hear your truth. I think a consensus of black Americans should decide what to call it, not some whites, who are the committing end of the crimes).
