White Insurrection Never Got Stopped
We have a deep refusal to accept the truth of American history. Black Americans know this the best and white conservative Americans deny it the best. That perhaps is why the results of the election are so profoundly disappointing — one of just many reasons I’m discovering. I expect there will be a lot of soul searching and I’ll be at the forefront of admitting to how upset I am that I was duped.
That is, I was fooled the Democrats again, and worse, told to shut up afterwards and work toward the future that party ignores and doesn’t deliver on. They backed down before and after Trump’s victory, always making excuses they dismiss after they pull another defeat from the jaws of victory. The worst was Harris’s dismal speech afterwards conceding defeat. I just realized this now. I had been fooled all the way until the moment when the blinder’s fell off. What did she say? We must give in and work with this racist monster who detests women, women’s right to choose, black Americans, black American’s voting rights, and the list goes on. There has never been in the modern era since Reagan a fight that the Democrats don’t back down from.
