Yale Whitewashes Blacks by Apologizing for Slavery
It would be great if they took the next step in supporting EndTheException, where the exception clause in the 13th amendment allows for governments convict leasing “slavery.” Why do black Americans, except ones who were actually slaves recently, fail to understand that actual, real, regular slavery exists?
I think it’s because they have been brainwashed for the last one hundred years by white history books. Repeat after me: “Chattel Slavery was the only kind of Slavery. Lincoln ended it. So untrue.” Whitewashed facts I memorized as a school kid and hung onto for decades. To make me feel good. Probably made by some white man up North, to pacify my rage that could occur if I found out the truth. I don’t want that pacifier anymore. The hell with those myths.
There are several coalitions fighting to abolish constitutional slavery and involuntary servitude in all forms for all people. Yale University is not a leader or contributed to any of them. They issued an apology in lieu of joining a movement. [See, I didn’t make the term slavery up in the recognition of it as constitutional slavery.]
