This April Insurrection in Tennessee of Black Voices Will Not Silence Them

The Lost Cause Flag of Tennessee
Is it just me, or does the Tennessee State Flag look a little bit white supremacy? [from Tennessee]

Ron DeSantis’ purpose is not directly to throw away all history books and make students read Mein Kampf. It is to use state power by the white male right-wing leader to continually and openly act against black Americans, LBGTQ, and women to cause fear of speaking out. It works to keep them in a suspended state of self-repression, to make young people and teachers, who know better but are trapped in the institution of their job, afraid to speak out, to hush them, silence their voices. So, what happens when suddenly black leaders take over the mic to talk back?

Enter some brave black American representatives and a white female representative in Nashville, Tennessee. Tired of suffering abuse, they grabbed the bullhorn on that state’s legislature and let it out. What was the results of these three musketeers for being angry, fed up with school shooting from AR-15 white supremacists and cops killing a black man for running (allegedly) a stop sign? You guessed it, expulsion. At for the black ones.

Their expulsion from representing the people who elected them comes from them being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Their actions of “defiance,” or what I call speaking up for the repressed in a democracy, what should be a standard act of representation…
