They tried to maintain a shred of decency. These white supremacists in America who gather around in the thousands from all over to cut of certain body parts, drag Lloyd Warner or George Armwood through the town square and then burn them still alive. The Nazis at least had a shred of decency not to keep their genocide hidden from public view. German children saw their country bombed, and had to live with the legacy of their parents generation committing the Holocaust, but at least they didn’t have to personally watch the burnings and killings. They were spared a little bit of the psychological damage.
