Freedom and Emancipation are the Best Psy-Ops

If you want to be an oppressor regime, promise freedom to the repressed in that regime. That’s the best to kill morale of those in charge of that regime during the war. That’s what is happening in the Russian War against Ukraine and that’s what happened in America.

The German interior minister wrote after the start of the Russian War Against Ukraine that any Russian “Deserters threatened with serious repression can as a rule obtain international protection in Germany.” She used her power to grant asylum on grounds of political persecution.’’ American government officials followed suit and proclaimed the same sentiment. It must have pissed Putin right off.

But frequently I’ve taken to rewriting American history in order to see it better, using my own narrative craft plus absent phrases, data and structures that I find absent. For example, Abraham Lincoln was actually Head General in charge of the American War against the Confederate States of America, one country against another. He commanded the top commanders and was in charge of wartime strategy. My brain tells me reflexively: No, it was General Grant. Well, sorry brain, you are wrong.
