The irony didn’t seem to affect their reaction. Britain is definitely more of a split personality in some ways than America, with the pretend upper crust Megan-banning whyters and the lot of enraged white footballers pouncing out to spark race riots at the drop of a pin. The real Irish though started “invading” as migrants more than a hundred years ago, which is a big controversy in their own country. It was the British Anglo-Saxon Kings who started invading Ireland after they invaded and occupied England itself, arriving in 449 AD. They kept invading and attacking over the centuries, about five times, occupying it multiple times, until they finally went abroad to the New World and Old World. But they kept occupying. They just can’t leave it along and be content with their lot. Only invading and sacking makes the Monarch and aristocracy happy. (I have to protect my Irish side of fo the family who left to America in the second half of the 19th century from the potato famine, which was really a mass starvation like in Gaza—the British took the wheat shipments arriving from America at the port in Dublin and made their own bread, sharing none.)
Thanks again. I love the collage picture of the “DEADLY MIGRANTS” on one half and some white woman pictured on the half to contrast the headline, making an immediate visceral opposition for the footballers and their wives.
