The definition of genocide by the UN does not necessarily entail murder or slaughter of a different ethnicity to qualify. Under the UN definition, made up after the Holocaust of World War Two and accepted, the period of slavery in the New World counts as genocide, I would add starting in 1676, though I’m open to drawing a starting date. The UN today correctly calls the Uyghur ethnic cleansing in western China as genocide, even though there has been no accusations of murder or state sanctioned killing.

Slavery in the New World was genocidal because it involved the the same ethnic cleansing as with the Uyghurs: forced captivity; eradication of their native religion and replacement by that of the controlling race; eradication of their native languages; forced integrations and forced labor. All of these constitute genocide. I read through this two years ago and have come around in agreeing with. What’s more, after the Civil War, the dominant one-party run South did have routine, ritualistic murders of black Americans hat were outside the law, without due process of the constitutional rights of their citizenship.

These “lynchings” were politically motivated to repress black Americans and to tell Northern Americans from the Union that they, the white South men who ruled the “solid South” would not accept any federal force to stop them and threatened the Northerners in power again and again, sometimes with succession, if anyone tried to stop their “heritage,” meaning their rule and way of life. Not only during this period (1876-1965) did they murder black Americans with complete impunity and never one conviction for murder, they structured the laws so blacks could not participate in U.S. power and continued use black Americans as a source of free labor in chain gangs. That qualifies this period as genocide as well. The Jews freely use the term to lash out at those who make anti-Semite comments using the cultural force of their genocide, the Holocaust.

The black Americans should do that same because they are morally allowed to wield it over whites. The Jewish protests against Kanye were effective in ending his contracts with Adidas. Although there was condemnation for his pro-white supremacy action of promoting the hate group All Whites Matter, the condemnation was not at loud or effective as the Jewish one. It should have been. The length of the American genocide was far longer, far more destructive.
