The Limits of Truth from Censorship in the Post-Emmitt America

The Reality: A depiction of a normal bullet exit wound (left) vs. an AR-15 like High Velocity Exit Wound (right) from an exploding hollow point bullet. The first you can recover from; the second might result in amputation.

I just encountered that our current government is like China’s in maintaining mass censorship. The government limits what the mainstream media can say and show. Maybe we can call our president nasty names, but don’t confuse that as censorship. We do have it. The mainstream media can’t show nudity, sex, and can’t say certain four-letter words. This we’ve known from the pre-internet days. It requires a license to air TV live. But mass censorship happens anyway in the internet age. Despite the myth about Freedom of Expression and Speech and first amendment, I cannot show you picture of an exit wound of an AR-15. That is called censorship.

Who makes this censorship and why? Apparently, it is coming now from public companies like YouTube/Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple, but it is also coming from the government. The killings at Columbine set up a new awareness of mass shootings, and Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in the Newtown in December 2012 had questions swirling about what happened to the kids that I recall. Can’t they just show us pictures for the dead children? In the years after I thought: Wouldn’t those pictures help to dispel the hoax theory that Alex Jones amplified and used to make millions from?
