SCOTUS Correctly Hands Trump Horrific Victories
If you’re reading this and touched on any of my writings before then you’ll still be a little shocked at my reaction to the monstrous Supreme Court decision to overturn the Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council case, in favor of big business: Good, that will teach the liberals something. This decision, just one of many today, was bigger than Trump’s massive tax cut for the rich. I mean it. They’ve been fighting since Reagan took office to defeat regulations and today got it.
But you might also strongly suspect that I hate losing and seeing American democracy lose to the far-wing party of white men, who control the Republicans. That’s unfair, the business class is more amoral centrist conservative than far right. But of all the tremendously bad SCOTUS decisions that feels more like a bloodbath, American carnage, then democracy, this one is perhaps the worst.
The tax cut was about money for the superrich. This one is to top regulating pollution, casinos, FDA and vaccines, tribal land and oil drilling on federal land, and all other things that the executive branch of the government regulates every day. Through such things as common sense, reason, and science.
