The answer is that we will be done paying of the forever wars by 2050, at which point, with compounded interest, we the taxpayer will have spent $65 trillion for those war. Were those wars, like this one, “worth it”? If you define worth as money, then to the people selling weapons at huge markups, then yes, it’s worth it. Do they and the government do anything else but push hate and dazzling rationalizations? No. For them, the longer it lasts the more money they make. We the People are just to stupid to see the vast amount of profit being made and are trained to see religion, terrorism, and other such nonsense the cause, and not money. Netanyahu just got 10 billion from the US instead of the usual 3 billion, plus all the building developers looking to rebuild will back him in the next election because of all that sweet contracting money.
