That’s some great insights and writing. Wonderful notes. We need to gain a continually fuller picture of events and the ideas surrounding them. These arrest warrants a very good first step, though for many they feel like too little too late. But they directly implicated the US in complicity, which is at should be. But the next step is to accuse Netanyahu of a genocide. Hamas made one day of attacks, and to be honest I haven’t seen any really proof they are still attacking the IDF, or I should say defending their homeland against invaders with bulldozers.
I just saw that incredibly sad mini-documentary made by an American doctor who spent two weeks administering aid to Gazans that was posted on the New York Times website. It showed incredible footage of the effects of Israeli genocide on the children and people of Gaza. More importantly for the West and for American liberals and centrists (conservatives won’t watch) it humanizes the Palestinians profoundly, the men, women and children. They appear to be warm and friendly, even in the midst of this depravity, the opposite of Netanyahu and his officials who appear like stone cold killers. The point though is that The NY Times took incredible criticism for the story they published back in December written by an ex female Israeli soldier as I recall, that contained little fact checking and had grievous errors. This was a way I think to counter that hit they took from a slew of journalism professors. I hope the tide keeps turning and your voice keeps staying strong. Thank you as always.
