That sounds about right. I appreciate the reminders of what happened,, like the Supreme Court giving him immunity and no he is unleashed. He already did martial law when he used federal government forces from the military to the DEA to push aside peaceful protestors to clear the park so he could walk to the church for the photo op. Many people made fun of him for holding the Bible upside down. But that wasn’t the point and a mere distraction. The point was he should he could order out federal police and military forces from many different agencies and get them to unconstitutionally clear out BLM protestors at his will. Many different police agencies from across the government and the military were represented, thus showing a unity of forces arrayed underneath him and his use of them to physically push aside peaceful American protestors expressing their First Amendment rights. He deliberately showed his contempt for the Constitution and show he did shred it.
The media was obsequious and avoided focusing on this key aspect and focused instead on the upside down Bible and then liberals made fun of him for that. They did not take seriously the real show of government forces he put directly under his command to force out and repress peaceful Americans expressing their rights. As long at they keep laughing at him, they miss the real damage, which was an unconstitutional use of military force against civilians. That WAS an act of martial law. When the Korean president (no ex-) tried to install martial law, a big deal was made of it and he was forced to resign by an angry Congress and citizens. When Trump actually did martial law at will, the citizens laughed, called him silly names, Congress brushed it aside. Yes, Korea in contrast has showed us what a non-failed state looks like. We cannot and did not rise to the occasion when our chance came.
Thanks for the clear reminders.
