That doesn’t logically fall out that if the system was more racist there would be more rich people. That would only mean there was less of a labor pool for low wage work, pushing up minimum wage even faster. The systemic racist is in an abundance of evidence of laws, many long lasting and difficult to unwind. The strategy since Nixon— the Southern Strategy based explicitly using race division to target white voters-/has been divide and conquer. The more equal numbers of minorities and poor whites, the more they can divide the classes and prevent them from uniting. It has worked well, destroying unions and keep the labor poor from uniting to form them again. This has meant higher profits. Increased manufacturing technology has meant higher profits with fewer workers, a trend held since 1950. Despite what you hear, the chase for lower worker wages in consistent, with Biden granting $500 million this week to First Solar, America’s ONLY solar panel manufacturer, to open a new factory in INDIA, just like Obama have a $500 million GRANT to Ford in 2008 to develop an electric vehicle through the Department of Energy, and a $250 GRANT to Musk’s Tesla to build electric cars in the same bill. Your tax payer money directly going to the rich without need for payback. Divide and conquer.
