That could have been the issue in 2016, and it was demoralizing because Hillary was not inspiring. I liked Harris in the primaries, and the other “minorities” would have been fine (like Butigieg, Sanders who Jewish) but no one turned out for them and the vote was sadly split. Maybe there wasn’t enough turnout in the primaries.
