Thanks for sharing your story; it appears your life got better and freer. They often appear like the most decent upright people in the evangelical or baptist world, until you cross them. Then they throw you out. Many religions are like this however, including the “new” call of a hard right Hindu sect in India calling for war against Muslims in their country to turn the country into a Hindu only nation, or next door in Afghanistan where only strict Muslim beliefs are tolerated. Intolerance and group think abounds in religion.
