Yes, I know that that there are many, many deep black intellectuals, speakers, artist, and I sometimes get a little down when reading them, because they understand the depth of these topics. I still try to plug on though, because I just feel we have to. And maybe to show some whites how we can truly open our mind's eye and hearts if we put in some effort to see what truths lie behind our 'white American' myths--it is often the truth and wonder of other's pasts and rich histories, which are often more peaceful and bounteous in soul than our own.
