“It would not have been nice had he acknowledged he sided with avowed white supremacists Jessie Helms and Strom Thurmond to shut down integration in the late 1970s,” said exactly no one.

But, it was hinted at by now VP Harris during the primaries, jeopardizing Joe’s chance of becoming president. Senator homophobe Supremacist Helms did thank Biden for helping him defeat school integration in the late 1970s, and effectively end Title 6 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

It had been a multi-year struggle to stop integration, also know pejoratively as “forced bussing” or “force bussing.” It was a catchphrase like “CRT” is today. The right wing had to find the right strategy and the right ally. “You can’t force my kids to buss to black schools,” was the intent of the catchphrase “forced bussing.”

Forcing them to learn about black history is now being forced on white school children. The government is forcing something against their will — both the child’s and the parents.’ The government is not protecting parent’s rights. The slogans and strategy are very much the same as today’s CRT and book banning movement.

Why should white kids be made to suffer — by forced bussing, by forced black history lessons? They did not do anything wrong. Why are angry…
