Strange, I jus watched an ‘old’ video, from 1982, of “Gypsy” by Fleetwood Mac. It isn’t a derogatory word or racial slur in America, and she makes it seem so intersting. This article goes to show that racial slurs and bias are cultural dependent, based on history.
