Stop bragging you did everything right while some of us parents are not. LOL. But you up a greater point: the Jews and Asian “cultures” are elitist. Not because the cultures themselves are, but because we as a country have received the most highly motivated group of them from their places of origins. This is true with subcontinent Indians and others today. The “best and the brightest” are drawn to America, taking a journey into the unknown, breaking family connections, arriving on our shores only sometimes with the deep memory of their motivational force that brought them here (why did I come America?). They are driven to success, to show their success to their families in their head. That drive elevates them. But back “home”, 600 million Chinese “farmers” or poor today live on an income of $2,000 a year, and in India that number of “farmers” is the same in number an two hundred dollars less in income. We have a distorted, utopian view of these “races” in America. Black Americans did not come out a deep motivational desire to escape to a better future, but in chains crammed into the bottom of the ship, the only “race” to arrive in America not of their own free will (meaning in chains as physical captives for war). They only came with a deep longing to return home. What we have done is kept them down while maintaining a superior attitude. If you watched the white Tennessee lawyer makers chastise the two black representatives on Thursday, you would have seen that full condescending white privileged attitude on display: “How dare you young negroes override our decorum?”
