The Democratic Party is run by white people who historically don’t listen to non-whites. It is finally being revealed by the Biden Step Down Crisis how core members and party leaders think of the voters, or at least a good half. They treat those who dissent as children who need to get over it and “stop fantasizing.” “Vote for Biden and stop your handwringing.” The worse expression: Vote for Biden or we will lose our democracy. There’s nothing better than a threat to make voters vote for a candidate. Delusion has been revealed and now needs stopping.

I’m starting to feel a little more what some black Americans tell me they feel has been happening to them for, well, maybe a hundred years, or the last 55 after the voting rights act: The Democratic Party keeps promising and never delivering. Full disclosure, these promises do seem better than the Republican Party who keeps destroying their rights, promising nothing, and can’t be stopped. But flip flopping between a party that destroys your rights and one who promises to restore them or protect but then breaks their promises equals 55 years of depressing destruction of your black American democracy.
