Stasi. That word used to be more well known. It was used in East Germany during the Cold War and they had the most extensive system for citizens reporting on other citizens—their neighbors, family, friends, teachers. Practically everyone was involved. Instead of an open and created society that flourishes both economically and artistically, everyone gets demoralized, depressed, and frustrated, hurting productivity. This practice is what is described here and is disgusting.
