When a light goes on in my head, I usually feel good to great about it. I finally got it. Whatever it is. One plus two plus three made six. The missing piece, usually the “one” in that equation as the simplest piece to miss, comes in and I had an aha-moment, even a small one, that I enjoy. I was slightly stupid before but a bit enlightened. It’s enough to give me personal pleasure if no one else. But this time it’s worse. I just can’t get over the depressive delusion of this realization.

The sad thing about my aha-moments is that came from studying the long unbroken history on American soil of the effects of white repression from slavery — almost 500 years now. The depravities are profound, which contradicts my feeling good about a sudden realization, but it comes when I find out I’ve been deceived, profoundly (a word that needs repeating), along with most Americans, especially white ones.

But I’ve run out of deceived or deceiving white adults who look relatively trusting. I’m more upset to find out how deceived and naive northern liberals are the most, because I was raised one for decades. Sure, I hate how ‘confederate MAGA whites’ inflicted cruelty and torture unendingly on black Americans. That telling of history has been repressed, because…
