Sadly, I can only agree with your assessment. There needs to be a more seriously focused civil rights movement today. The well-meaning disarray of BlackLivesMatter, which I support and tags I use for stories, needs better organization and stronger messaging. We’ve seen depressingly how BLM’s historic turnout of 3.3 million peaceful marchers and the same number of women in pink hats marching for women’s rights in 2017, were easily crushed and dismissed by the few rich under Trump. I’m not Biden did much to reverse it, or anything. The question is how to proceed. “We are the conscience of a nation” is an accurate statement, but it can’t be one that yields and gives up.
