Oh no, you’re the sane one, not the crazy one. Highly profitable prisons contain forced labor camps inside them. Most then 920 were built from 1980-2005. From 1800-1879, about 768 were built total. They were filled up with blacks and then brown, 70 percent in most cases of all prisoners. By 2011 (according to the EJI) the US now held 25% of all the world’s prisoners. Over 5 million blacks disenfranchised by new laws about parole and probations and being in prison. And white state and federal government (UNICOR) lease out blacks and browns to US companies and now foreign companies. Based on the exception clause in the 13th amendment. It is beyond diabolical. Super highly profitable. Look at the new article in the NYTimes on Alabama where you can see a picture of black “convicts” being leased to a subsidiary of Hyundai, forced to work for little while from being convicted. Oh, it’s diabolical enslavement and it’s literal enslavement.
