Nope, nope, nope—I have to agree with you. It is completely disgusting that on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Trump gets inaugurated and then signs an Executive order killing DEI. He inspired companies to do this in advance. He is giving the middle finger to MLK. It’s deliberate and his action speaks clearly to his white supremacist base. To think he did this bad. But I can’t name one thing that Biden did for Black Americans. The John Lewis Voting rights Act would not have been revolutionary but it would have been a great gesture toward black Americans and in recognizing the injustice they endure. But even a small gesture like that he decided wasn’t worth the fight.
Instead, as black Americans taught me, the atrocities on Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere was an and is a continual injustice they sympathize with. Biden himself, an avowed Zionist, put forth one hundred additional funding requests for bombs and weapons in the first five months of the Israeli campaign alone. With those American bombs and German weaponry (70 percent and 29 percent of the weapons supplied), Israeli was able to level Gaza to the ground, with 506 buildings destroyed per day. Black Americans were outraged, and rightly so. I can’t think of a single white male demonstrate who has done a dam thing for black Americans systemically. OK, one—Senator Merkley or Oregon co-sponsored the bill to abolish “slavery or involuntary servitude” along with Senator Booker. Thanks little encouragement. The totality of all whites in Congress can’t be bothersome to end the mass disenfranchisement of black voters starting in 1982 nationwide through “duly convicting them”, can’t be bothered with reparations, can’t be bothered with voting rights protections for blacks, can’t be bothered to stop no knock raids targeted mostly on poor black areas to seize a couple joints, can’t protect poor Black and Brown women especially for abortion rights, can’t really be bothered with any civil rights at all.
I really wish every black American in Congress would quit both parties that do nothing for the, not even recognize a holiday for MLK who gave his life for democracy, for voting rights, without total resistance for decades. Resisting it for decades and decades. One measly day to recognize how hundreds of thousands of black Americans fought for civil rights for 300 hundred years. They can’t even give in to that. It’s disgusting. It’s whites supremacy. and I truly fear for all minorities and LBGTQ in the next four years. We know no one will fight for them because no one has produced results. You are too right and accurate here. Don’t stop speaking out.
