No, there’s no pendulum here or open door. The Louisiana Slave Revolt of 1811 and the Stono Rebellion are Uprisings or Rebellions. Fighting back against you oppressor is an uprising. After those ones, as Nat Turners, what we saw was deliberate white terrorism starting in 1834 to lynch white abolitionists—by white pro-slavers. The white terrorists did lynch some black Americans in the following years, but the disproportionate lynchings of black for gaining political control started after the Civil War when freed black Americans no longer had a title that was used to value and sell them. There were no black terrorist actions after that; there continued only white terrorist actions for the next 115 years, to which no white group was found guilty in court and sentenced fairly to jail until 1981 at the trial of Michael Donald.
