No, it wasn’t. How many hostages were taken in the last 10 months after October 7? None. How many Gazans killed not just “officially” but direct war bombs and bullets (over 40,000) but by starvation and disease, dysentery and fatigue, stress induced heart failure, and are missing under the rubble and not counted (I’ve heard 117,000 but who really knows). Then there is continual long term damage to exactly all of them, demoralized and homeless to the point of permanent despair. I haven’t seen one mythical Hamas fighter picture on the field of battle in Gaza, just reports of their leaders who are always in other countries. There is no proof of how many are left, but we “feel” there must be some significant number controlling the rubble because the repetition from the authority figures spreading the word across the media keeps tell us that there is “leadership” that will make a cease-fire deal, so there must be some commanders in Gaza that they will telegraph the ceasefire deal to. My mind keeps telling to write: “I’m sure there must be someone left fighting, some Hamas army,” perhaps in “tunnels” which his why we don’t see them. But my logical mind has gone so cold it keeps saying of those national authority spokesman: show me, don’t tell me.
In short it is all a farce Netanyahu is playing, knowing full well his intention the entire time was to destroy them all and steal the land. he knows American weapons salesmen love a good war, are addicted to supplying Israel. He’s super cunning. He can’t escape perpetual scrutiny and demand for justice in the ICC. We must never give up demanding he pay in court.
