Part I. BHM 2025: How One Man Wrecked So Much Damage
I didn’t know how much destruction a peace activist like MLK did. I’m floored as I’ve studied King in depth after George Floyd’s murder and understood and studied him decades before. Sure, I learned about his Selma March and excellent speech, and I saw his masterful interviews. But I had no idea he held Congress and the president hostage for so long. This critical detail was not addressed and revealed so much I had to re-examine history. This three-part piece is about the depth of damage he did to federal and state governments.
King gave a speech and placed a demand on the Government in 1957. As a direct result, which no one told me about, the government fulfilled Martin’s demand by writing the first Civil Rights Act of 1957 that they passed to protect Black Americans voting rights in the South.
Not satisfied, and with little results after it was signed, MLKJ did it again in 1960. Congress passed another Civil Rights Act of 1960, part II, which the president signed to protect black voting rights — again. Still, no results. That means no compliance from the white-controlled Southern states with the national law for America. The law was passed, but the Southern states did not comply with…
