The Current Threat Greater Than Kanye
The purpose of gaslighting is to throw you off balance. And then keep you off balance.
I was watching this video clip from the Hoover Institute (link below), a place where white supremacist scholars go to die. This institute and those like it are far more of a threat to black Americans than Kanye’s antics. I’m sorry, I know he’s acting like a crazy clown, but while black and white Americans of any liberal sensibility are spilling ink and getting worked over Sir Ye’s antisemitism and supremacy, the real white supremacists are openly plotting to continually stay in power and exclude black Americans.
We have a chance to see the real circus, which is admittedly dull in comparison to a hooded Kanye praising Adolf with Alex Jones. Conspiracists and a supremacist black rapper are far more entertaining, but really just a distraction, the bread and circuses of white supremacy. The real and institutional threat to black Americans that structures society now openly plans its next moves. These think tanks are dull in comparison, but their planning provides the new languages and ideas to the lawyers and right-wing elite. They are the ones that just defeated Roe after decades; the one that gutted the integration clause of the Civil Right bill over the two decades after Brown v. Board, the one that is going to next spring kill…
