The Two-Second Rule in American Terrorist Policing

Burqas at the Border [AI generated image of disguised male Tajik Terrorists Just Strolling into Texas]

The ultra slim possibility exists: a rogue group of Muslim terrorists slipped into the United States across the Mexican border, then silently spread out to eight different cities, where some nefarious plot almost hatched, save for the FBI noticing something off with one of them they were tracking. So, all agents swooped in at one from other corresponding police agencies on different levels of government and arrested them all. I feel a tiny bit safer, but also a lot more scared of the government. Institutional evolution in America in the enforcement branch never worked out well for minorities, although white people like me always can feel a tad bit safer.

It’s a magnificent evolutionary example of how local, state, and federal internal forces have now transformed to be so synchronized that they finally, after one hundred years of deep disconnect and territorial pissing over jurisdiction, have finally found how to work together almost seamlessly and efficiently. Just like you would expect in Europe. Or in a dystopian police state. It all depends on which side you’re on — of the Atlantic Ocean that is.

I’ve tracked these stories after 9–11. Muslims wandering around, visiting mosques, being trailed by the FBI or local agents, who were learning to coordinate. That learning period is the evolutionary aspect…
