It's only been going on for two hundred years, why stop now when the white police are perfecting getting away with it? It's absolutely an insidious practice and definitely assumes guilt and defies the right to be heard, the right to due process, and assumes guilt before innocence. They used to stop slaves and ask for their papers until 1865. (Except in Texas which had no freed blacks since banning them at their independence so any black could automatically be seen as guilty with having to stop and frisk and ask for papers).
It should blow my mind, and sort of does, that after almost three years from George Floyd they pinned him down, tased him multiple times and killed him. Then again, I think the Rodney King incident was over 30 years ago in LA.
Police protection is the main cause police brutality. Destroy their unions.
