It’s ironic that Megyn herself is performative. Really, why does she keep her hair dyed blond? She is deeply signaling that she belongs and was chosen because she was white and a blond woman stereotype. Of course, if she didn’t maintain her looks, let’s face she would be gone. She keeps getting fired from major networks and the only way she can gain any relevancy is to pop up somewhere else and start badmouthing blacks and women and LBGTQI+ all in one breath while telling Clark to get back to work on the basketball farm. Let’s face it, this is a white woman with a law degree. Yet she speaks openly with a potty mouth. In any other arena, especially a large law firm, she would be fired for going around constantly speaking out in the open like this. You know that because you’re a professor. Sure, whites might speak like that a bit behind closed doors and make nasty racial comments, but all day out in the open?
Thanks to Trump and the environment she helps to propagate of conservative neo-racism, where she can use her blond hair and limited talents and limited intelligence to come up with some new racist dog-whistles, the only job she can get now is in performative media. She’s not wanted anywhere else. ‘Look at me, I’m white, blond, nasty and pretty,’ she seems to say. But that’s it. She is clearly incompetent and unprofessional. Clark may be a “only” a basketball player, but she has what Megyn lacks, considerable talent and discipline to stay focused on the job at hand and not on running around the court in practice and in a game screaming out stuff about the other players, the crowd, how the coach doesn’t deserve what she got. What should be obvious, but isn’t, is that Clark spends her time in practice, a lot of practice, with black female basketball players and knows them. Now she is going work to practice team work with black female basketball players and she is traveling and practicing with them all the time. She isn’t trashing them racially and financially while working out or playing on the court.
It’s important to know this controversy because it won’t go away. Those Megyn’s and Ted Cruz’s who are educated but only can succeed because they work in fields that allow their stupid foul mouth to run off without any checks in place show that they are running out space to perform in because they aren’t successful in their own fields.
