It’s interesting that Netflix is airing the movie “Passing” at the same time. We’ve heard many stories of that but not much of passing for black. What’s interesting about this case in retrospect, which I followed at the time, was that she was criticized for trying to be black in a time before George Floyd’s death and the three months of BLM peaceful protests. There are a lot of Trump followers I was would spend a couple days being black. But I hadn’t realized she was abused, which kind of makes sense of trying to identify as someone spells to escape that past. Interesting piece and that is for your analysis.
