I’m so glad that she exists s she brings forth new voices of “black people.” I personally don’t know her, don’t like her, and am progressive. But at least I have a choice of political parties to join. It seems like black Americans are lumped into the Democratic values and get that set of values plopped on them, whether they disagree or not. I mean I don’t like my choices much either: centrist Democrats or white supremacists.

Obama was black in theory, and I voted for him because he looked black, but he never fooled me; he was raised by a pack of white centrists, first in Kansas with his white moms parents, but then in Hawaiian white prep school and white Harvard. His dad was African black, and Obama never knew or hung with American blacks it appears, until he met Michele and went to the Southside of Chicago to see some. He’s a great speaker but really has centrist values and not progressive at all for me. Growing up in a “white” northern community, I was free to think of my values not in relation to my skin color.
So from that perspective I think Candice is good in providing a “role model.” I think there are a lot of black Americans with diverse values who want recognition for their work, efforts and ideas, and not lumped into looking like some charity wing of the Democrat Party. The Democrats never really respected blacks Americans, and the Republicans today are mostly loud mouth Southern Supremacists who dominated the Democrat Party under FDR when they “controlled” the Democrat Party agenda by being loud mouth Southern Supremacists, then quit in 1964 when Southern Texas Redneck betrayed them all by signing the Civil Right Bill. They quit Alamo en masse and went to Republican Party, that was sitting idly by doing business but not really caring about civil rights much one way or the other. They were this a good place to park and a good group to bully. So politically, if you aspire to be non-unique and suburban, then your choice is clear—either party. But for the rest, good luck.

Thanks for you views.
