I’m actually sympathetic to her. As one author on medium said, “The body never lies, that’s what trauma studies says.” And there is a psychological disease that the body manifests, a phantom limb syndrome, where in severe cases individuals are disassociated with their limb or limbs. Some have gone to doctors and even had that limb, typically a leg, surgically removed. The body is telling them, by an abnormal trick in the Brian, that the limb is not there’s and so needs to be removed. She could be suffering such a rare related disease, where her limbs are telling her she is handicapped. This could be an abnormal manifestation of trauma from childhood sexual assault or physical abuse, or just a rare neurological disease, of which there are plenty. Not everyone wants to subject themselves to this kind of constant ridicule for the fun of it, or “the clicks.” I say let’s give this person person the benefit of the doubt. Just like you wanted that be fit of the doubt when speaking of your own trauma from assaults.
