“IF” — that’s been taken away from many of us in Houston. True story: the state took over the Houston school district, the biggest one in the state last week and installed security cameras and eliminated all librarians (easier that burning or banning the books it turns out- so take that DeSantis, you were just one-upped). That takeover is called an insurrection. The Houston voters—the Democrats in Houston who just keep getting bluer—had their duly elected officials taken away from them. How could this insurrection— or overthrow of the will of the people—occur? Because of what you said in the article: some minor bill was passed in a supermajority solid red legislature some years back that created a technicality that allowed the governor to overthrow “underperforming” school districts (i.e. brown and black American ones, to no one’s surprise.).
Now there is a bill in the legislature aimed directly at Houston to take over the voting polls, ban and restrict the ballot boxes, where they are placed, and probably install some new methods, like fingerprint ID and a literacy test that involves making everyone read the state constitution backward in English. In other words, another open insurrection.
Thanks for pointing out how blue our cities are becoming (like Austin and San Antonio)—that is, how diverse they are becoming. Houston is by some measures the most diverse city in the nation or the world. That means it’s been fully “compromised,” the Great Replacement is over now, and miscegenation is rampant (it’s true I see interracial couples everywhere, including plenty of black and white—in fact I can’t seem to escape them).
So yes, Houston deserves to be punished, must be, and reverted to white rule, and the whites behind the governor need to do it quickly, as well as Houston’s greatest living U.S. Senator, Ted Cruz, who will do his part by seizing NASA and the oil industry, both headquartered in Houston.
The Big Steal has already occurred, as Trump has been saying non-stop. His dog-whistle is very clear (I learned Texas white speak since moving here decades ago). Trump is speaking truth to (get) power: he got the most white nationalist votes of any white president ever, who are all armed and ready. He’s saying the Biden’s votes were from “coloreds” and don’t count, because if you take away the “coloreds”, the non-whites voting and taking over America, then it’s obvious this strong man had more “real” American votes than Biden.
