I think you expressed deep passion, even it came out suddenly, almost defensively. One question I thought of when reading about this conversation you had was, why not ask them who the black woman is? What type of job does it look like she has? And then move on to, And how do you think a black woman would feel about that depiction of the “Aunt Jimena”? I don’t know the answer, but the with black Americans being forced to “The Help” for one hundred hundred years after slavery ended, without real wages or social security in the South, I bet it can’t be something like “I feel great about this depiction.” Hopefully, we can ask.
