I saw the picture of the Mau Mau fighters trapped in a barbwire cage in 1952 (freedom fighters in their own country?) and it reminded me of the concentration camp photos with barbed wire. It appears the crown didn't care how it looked to the outside world, just like they still didn't care when they told Meaghan Merkel not to come with Harry to the Queen on her deathbed.
