I love this definition of scapegoating, and it definitely fits this situation on many levels. DA Willis is definitely doing the impossible: being a black woman lawyer prosecuting a white male president (supremacist) in a Southern state. It is extremely extraordinary in all circumstances. If she succeeds, it will turn out to be on of the most important cases in US history, and reversed something sacred: black women as seen on the “bottom” on the politico-social ladder will now have proved, by her merit, that they are on top or fully equal and capable, establishing a definitive case. I hope Harris is re-elected (I actually like her, and she highly competent) and that DA Willis can survive and prosecute this case (you remember what or who happened to MLK, Medgar Evers, Macolm X).
Thanks for charging ahead and keep bring your A game.
